Midnight Mass reactions tell the Netflix horror is even better than Haunting of Mound House

The first reactions to Midnight Mass are in – and Netflix's horror mastermind Mike Flanagan has done information technology again. The Persistent of Hill Menage Lord has delivered a miniseries that has fans and critics likewise throwing around words like "masterpiece", so you know it's going to be worth your time.

"Not a single false note. Frightening. Illuminating. Herculean," critic Richard Newby aforementioned on Twitter.

That unequivocal praise is matched elsewhere. "Horror at its best," says Rotten Tomatoes' Tessa Smith. Others are likewise effusive: "May be the best show of the year," says one, piece another describes information technology as Flanagan's "best work to date."

So, does it cope with up to Haunting of Pitcher's mound Home? On this early prove, almost definitely. "Belik the best thing Mike Flanagan, one of the masters of modern horror, has achieved," says critic Nicolás Delgadillo. "The best horror TV I've ever seen," posits filmmaker Issa Lopez.

More than also rank it Eastern Samoa Mike Flanagan's sterling work, surpassing both Haunting of Hill House and Bly Manor. "Absolutely the best thing Mike Flanagan has ever cod screen," says actor and writer Aaron Pruning hook, while Digital Stag's David Opie says it has "the makings of a masterpiece."

Elijah Wood has even got in on the act, following on from Stephen Top executive's glowing protection to Midnight Mass.

"Had the pleasure of beholding the 1st ii episodes of [Mike Flanagan's Midnight Mass]," Wood same on Twitter. "It's beautiful, haunting and quiet ratchets a ontogeny sense of dread and mystery upon his island's denizens with his signature masterful pass on."
